Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager in San Diego to lead plans of record for multiple programs across the Datacenter/Cloud initiative.

The role involves managing schedules, budgets, resources, and risks while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders across functions on technical matters. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in PM in semiconductor or related fields, strong leadership, and experience with Linux-based software stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of program management or related work experience.
• 7+ years of PM or related work in semiconductor, telecom, or developer ecosystems.
• 3+ years of experience on x86 or ARM platforms/ecosystem.
• 2+ years engineering experience on AI products or applications.
• Understanding of software stacks and Linux-based distributions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple small programs or a single complex program/technology.
• Tracks and manages all key metrics pertaining to a program and identifies when metrics deviate from Plan of Record; escalates issues and proposes corrective actions.
• Manages and prioritizes the work of the program team with schedules, task assignments, and tracking of team members.
• Work with software product management team to define end-to-end software and long-term maintenance strategy.
• Drive an extensive ecosystem of third-party software developers; identify opportunities for software reuse that optimize the software roadmap.
