Role Overview
Our Exclusive Client is an AI Datacenter and cloud services company, providing datacenter services and operating a large fleet of high‑performance GPU infrastructure designed for AI/ML training, inference, and generative AI workloads. We are seeking a Business Development Lead – AI Infrastructure to drive growth by sourcing, structuring, and closing AI infrastructure opportunities.
This leader will work closely with AI startups, system integrators (SIs), cloud/ISV partners, and enterprise customers to build long‑term alliances and translate AI demand into sustained GPU and datacenter utilization.
The role combines strategic ecosystem building with hands‑on deal execution in a fast‑growing AI infrastructure market.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Infrastructure Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and close opportunities for GPU compute, AI clusters, managed AI platforms, and AI datacenter services
- Drive adoption of GPU capacity for:
- GenAI model training and fine‑tuning
- Inference platforms
- AI SaaS and AI-native startups
- Own the full sales lifecycle: opportunity sourcing → solution shaping → commercial negotiation → closure
2. Startup & AI Ecosystem Engagement
- Build deep relationships with AI/ML startups, scale‑ups, and founders
- Position the Client as a preferred AI infrastructure partner for startups graduating from cloud to dedicated GPU infrastructure
3. SI & Partner Alliances
- Forge strategic partnerships with:
- Global and regional System Integrators (SIs)
- AI solution providers and MLOps vendors
- ISVs building AI platforms and applications
- Enable partners with reference architectures, pricing constructs, and joint GTM motions
- Work with enterprises, GCCs, and digital transformation leaders to source:
- AI factory deployments
- Collaborate with internal solution architecture and delivery teams to build compelling proposals
- Track AI infrastructure demand trends, GPU utilization patterns, and competitive landscape
- Provide input into:
- Capacity planning and GPU roadmap
- Pricing and commercial models
- New service offerings (managed AI, sovereign AI, industry‑specific stacks)
6. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Datacenter operations
- AI platform and engineering teams
- Finance and commercial teams
- Ensure customer commitments align with capacity, SLAs, and margin objectives
- Revenue and margin from AI infrastructure deals
- GPU capacity utilization and ramp‑up velocity
- Qualified pipeline from startups, SIs, and partners
- Number and quality of strategic alliances formed
- Deal size, deal velocity, and customer retention
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in one or more of:
- AI infrastructure
- Datacenters
- HPC / GPU computing
- Proven track record of selling infrastructure‑led solutions (IaaS, GPUaaS, private cloud, AI platforms)
- Strong understanding of:
- AI/ML workloads and GenAI economics
- Experience working with startups, SIs, and enterprise customers
- Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
- Existing relationships with AI startups, VC ecosystem, or accelerator programs
- Experience with sovereign cloud, regulated industries, or government AI programs
- Exposure to MLOps platforms, AI frameworks, or AI software stacks
- Prior role in scaling a new infrastructure or platform business
