Job summary

Qualifications

• Academic or project-based foundation in power electronics and analog design.
• Exposure to control systems, embedded systems or related circuits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and access Renesas’ Austin lab.
• Located in the Austin area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior FAE to support programs through product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Assist with validation, characterization, and optimization of Renesas power solutions for AI/cloud/server systems.
• Perform hands-on lab testing: efficiency, load transients, power sequencing, telemetry, protection, fault analysis, and rail characterization.
• Support customer board bring-up, power-supply debug, and system-level validation.
• Participate in schematic and PCB layout reviews for high-current PDN designs.
• Develop technical reports, characterization summaries, validation docs, and customer presentations.
• Learn and use test equipment: oscilloscopes, electronic loads, network analyzers, power analyzers.
• Assist in automated validation methodologies and data-analysis workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Applications Engineering, Product Line Management, and Sales.
• Build knowledge and customer-facing skills toward independent support of designs.
