Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks a Datacenter Operations Manager IT to develop and manage datacenter infrastructure, including servers, SAN, cloud services, and related systems. Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in technology management.
• Skill in developing datacenter infrastructure strategies for large and complex initiatives and for continuous availability.
• Experience in deploying, monitoring, maintenance, and support of operating systems, devices, hardware, software.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to manage the unit's operations.
• Ability to manage cloud-based operations (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) for private, public, or hybrid cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Advise on Datacenter programs, systems, and operational issues.
• Plan and direct Datacenter Operations for growth and improved services.
• Oversee Datacenter operations and provide timely support to all users.
• Liaise with Airports Authority and other parties.
• Inspect Datacenter equipment sites, ensure repairs, and maintain records.
• Coordinate Cloud Base operations to reduce costs and improve performance.
• Oversee configuration and upgrades of servers, OS, and SAN.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, backups, and service delivery.
• Coordinate AD/DNS/DHCP/Exchange and other Microsoft solutions.
• Develop policies, SLAs, and measures for service delivery across architecture and security.
• Prepare statements of work (SOWs) and serve as COTR for contracted services.
• Administer operations and training accounts with Program Support.
• Maintain technical proficiency and keep leadership informed of advances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
