Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Datacenter Operations Manager IT to develop and manage the datacenter infrastructure, including servers, SAN, cloud services, and related systems. You will lead the Datacenter Operations within the Technology Operations Department, ensuring continuous, high-quality services for all end users.

Qualifications

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in technology management.
Skill in developing datacenter infrastructure strategies for large and complex initiatives.
Skill in managing deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT systems.
Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to manage unit/team operations.
Ability to manage cloud-based operations (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for private/public/hybrid clouds.
Skill in design, configuration, installation and upgrading of servers, storage, and backups.
Knowledge of Active Directory Services and Microsoft Exchange.
Ability to speak and write effectively.

Responsibilities

Serves as a principal advisor on Datacenter programs, systems, and operational issues.
Provides direction for Datacenter Operations and recommends revisions to the system plan.
Oversees administration of Datacenter Operations and ensures timely service to users.
Coordinates Datacenter's Cloud Base operations to reduce costs and improve performance.
Oversees deployment, monitoring, maintenance, backup operations, and support.
Prepares statements of work and serves as COTR for contracted services.
Maintains technical proficiency and informs leadership of new advances.
