Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Datacenter Materials Associate in the Lancaster area to support inbound/outbound freight, perform quality checks, count inventory, handle cabling, and assist with rack installation. The role requires strong problem solving, reliability, and a focus on safety and data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years’ related experience, solid customer service skills, and the ability to work with live electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Critical thinking and good analytical skills.
• Experience with computers required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols required.
• Ability to work with live electrical and electronic equipment and components.
• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must pass required background checks and clearances.
• Must pass required drug and alcohol tests.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, laser measuring devices, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to be punctual, reliable, flexible, and cross-train in multiple datacenter departments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, verifying part numbers, quantities, and material condition
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts at the datacenter
• Process return shipments of electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks according to diagrams and schematics
• Install rack hardware using hand, power, and measuring tools
• Operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks
• Clean the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards
• Push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday
• Provide effective material orders, customer service, inventory management, and material movement support
• Interact regularly with customers and onsite stakeholders and build positive working relationships
• Make confident decisions based on information and data to meet production goals effectively, accurately, and efficiently
