Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices seeks a Product Development Engineer to drive the development and manufacturing launch of cutting-edge datacenter hardware. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure design standards, quality targets, and production timelines are met, from design through production.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience launching datacenter server/rack systems, proficiency in NPI, ECO processes, and strong documentation practices, contributing to high-volume

Qualifications

  • Experience taking products from concept through production.
  • Knowledge of hardware design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Familiarity with server architectures or rack-level hardware.
  • Ability to conduct DFM reviews and optimize designs for manufacturing.
  • Experience managing Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
  • Understanding of PCB assembly (PCBA) manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering Design, Materials, and Program Management to align design, materials, manufacturing, and quality across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead design reviews and DFM discussions to ensure manufacturability and quality.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and readiness timelines for new product introductions.
  • Drive NPI processes with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth launches and ramp-up.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on design changes.
