Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Datacenter Cooling Engineer to lead design, deployment, and monitoring of next-generation cooling systems in high-density data centers. You will serve as the primary SME for cooling topics and collaborate with Infra, Operations, and vendor teams to ensure scalable, reliable solutions.

This onsite role requires a technical degree in mechanical/chemical/manufacturing engineering or equivalent, plus hands-on experience with pumps, chillers, CDUs, and direct liquid cooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and operating cooling infrastructure at scale (pumps, chiller systems, heat exchangers, CDUs).
• Deep understanding of facility cooling technologies and thermal monitoring practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration across key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary SME for cooling-related engineering topics.
• Lead design, deployment, and monitoring of cooling infrastructure in high-density datacenters.
• Develop and maintain standards for DigitalOcean datacenter facilities.
