Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas in California seeks a Data Center Infrastructure Mechanical Architect to lead the design, validation, and optimization of mechanical systems for high-density compute environments.

This role is customer-facing and collaborates with internal product teams to translate requirements into scalable, reliable cooling architectures using liquid cooling—dry coolers, evaporative coolers, cooling skids, heat exchangers, and hydronic distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data center mechanical design or mission critical facilities.
• Experience with dry coolers, evaporative coolers, cooling skids, hydronic systems, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, pump curves, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience collaborating with product development or hardware engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and optimize mechanical systems for high-density compute environments.
• Lead customer discussions and translate needs into design specs.
• Collaborate with hardware, electrical, controls, and product teams.
• Develop mechanical layouts, piping schematics, and system interfaces.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of cooling systems.
• Analyze performance data to improve efficiency and reliability.
