Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Mission Critical Construction Manager (MEP) for on-site duties in Sterling, VA. You will oversee internal and subcontractor crews on datacenter renovation and upgrade projects, spanning BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural trades.

The role starts early, onsite, and emphasizes safety and coordination. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in mission critical/data center construction, ability to read diagrams, and capability to manage RFIs, submittals, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret a one-line diagram.
• Ability to interpret P&ID/BMS controls diagrams.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and trace power flow.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and coaching others on them.
• Strong safety, quality and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and subcontractor teams on mission critical renovation/upgrade projects.
• Maintain safe working environment and champion safety culture.
• Provide technical direction to trade partners and field crews.
• Update project management with construction and schedule status.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and site logistics plans.
