Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. seeks a System Engineer to oversee datacenter design, architecture, and server management.

You will drive automation with PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, install Windows and Linux servers, and manage VMware vSphere and Nutanix AOS environments. You will apply disaster recovery and backup expertise (Zerto, VMware SRM), configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs, and help implement cloud architecture with Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, SQL Server Admin, VDI/FSLogix, VMware VCF Admin/Architect, AWS SA-P, CKAD/CKA.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect datacenter and cloud-based solutions, including deployment of new servers and cluster extensions.
• Demonstrate expertise in automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
• Install and configure Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage Hypervisor environments (VMware vSphere 7.0, Nutanix AOS).
• Understand disaster recovery and backup (Zerto, VMware SRM).
• Apply Active Directory design, ADCS, DHCP, Group Policies, and DNS knowledge.
• Design cloud architecture with DevOps/CI-CD emphasis (Azure DevOps).
• Manage storage arrays (HPE Alletra, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, Pure Storage).
• Apply least-privilege and PAM principles for security.
• Understand 3-tier architecture and HCI (Nutanix AOS, VMware vSAN).
• Cross-train and share knowledge within the team.
• Maintain comprehensive environment documentation.
• Work independently with minimal oversight and adapt to changing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
