Job summary

Subaru of America seeks an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer to design, implement, and manage multi-cloud workloads across AWS and Azure. You will automate with Terraform, enforce governance, and optimize costs while ensuring resilience and security.

The role includes cross-team collaboration, DR/HA planning, and ongoing documentation. Hybrid work with onsite office in Newark area is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• 4-6 years Azure/AWS administration experience.
• Hands-on with IaC using Terraform.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Proficiency with cloud monitoring tools (Datadog).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Solutions Architect preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cloud performance, availability, compliance, and security.
• Designs cross-account architectures and landing zones with governance.
• Implements DR, HA, and failover strategies across AWS/Azure.
• Reviews and optimizes resources for cost, governance, and security.
• Collaborates with developers, network engineers, and security teams.
• Guides migration of on-prem systems to Azure and AWS.
• Maintains architecture and operational documentation.
