Job description

Job Opportunity: Databricks Team Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Databricks Team Lead for a contract role with a client located in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Snowflake, Data Modeling, SQL programming, and Databricks, with experience in cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.

Pay Rate: $45.50 – $60.50/hour on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data warehousing initiatives, ensuring scalable and efficient design across cloud platforms.
• Design and implement complex stored procedures and OLAP queries in Snowflake.
• Manage and lead the migration of data from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud DWH.
• Leverage Snow SQL and Snowflake features for high-performance data handling.
• Utilize Python for automation and advanced data processing workflows.
• Build and manage data pipelines using Databricks, integrating data from various cloud sources.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize data models and classification systems.

Qualifications:

• 6–8 years of experience in data warehousing systems.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake DWH.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and Snow SQL.
• Solid experience in data modeling and OLAP query development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially storage solutions like S3 and ADLS.
• Experience with Python for scripting and data integration tasks.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Snowflake).
• Exposure to BI and reporting tools.
