Neon’s storage engineering team builds the foundational data services for our serverless PostgreSQL platform. Running 24/7 in locations around the globe, with over a million databases under management, these systems present exciting challenges in scale and efficiency.

Lead a team of talented engineers
Combine technical expertise with project and team management skills
Be responsible for the overall success of the team
2+ years experience in a technical leadership role
5+ years experience as a developer, with expert knowledge of a systems programming language such as C++ or Rust.
Strong mentoring skills, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional prioritization abilities.
Experience building complex systems where correctness and performance are essential, such as databases, message brokers, operating systems, filesystems, etc.
Experience running 24/7 production services (either SaaS or on-prem)
Experience working successfully in fully remote or hybrid teams
Excellent communication in English
Development of postgres or similar OLTP database products
Working as an Engineering Manager with people management responsibility.
