Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Manager, Data Engineering with deep Databricks expertise to lead the design, delivery, and modernization of enterprise‑scale data platforms. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with client engagement and team mentorship.

You will drive data modernization initiatives, architect scalable lakehouse solutions, and lead cloud native data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and related services across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise‑scale data platforms leadership.
• Hands‑on Databricks experience with Delta Lake, notebooks, jobs.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Advanced Python and data engineering workflows.
• Expertise in Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL and distributed processing.
• Experience with batch and real‑time pipelines and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of data modeling, lakehouse and data mesh patterns.
• Familiarity with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Vertica or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, release management, and observability.
• Experience leading teams and client‑facing delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise data platforms on Databricks.
• Mentor engineers and oversee delivery across multiple project teams.
• Drive data modernization and migration to lakehouse/cloud ecosystems.
• Develop batch and streaming pipelines using Spark and cloud services.
• Define roadmaps, governance, and development standards.
• Support AI‑enabled engineering use cases with scalable data services.
• Engage clients, estimate projects, and contribute to practice growth.
