Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer to rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for clients. You will collaborate with senior client teams, translating business needs into scalable AI capabilities, while mentoring junior members.

The role requires travel ~50%, strong coding practices, and experience with enterprise AI platforms to balance quality, cost, and model risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Lead sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities.
• Contribute independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members.
• Build AI-enabled solutions, agentic platforms, and workflows across enterprise AI platforms.
• Deliver production-quality code with strong testing, CI/CD, logging and documentation.
