Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer to rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for enterprise clients. You will work side by side with senior client teams to turn AI ambitions into measurable business outcomes, using Databricks and related tools in fast-paced, collaborative pods.

The role blends software engineering, data engineering, and AI solution delivery, requiring cloud familiarity, strong coding practices, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of software/data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client/production environments.
• 1+ years with Databricks and related platform tech (DBRX, MLflow, Vector Search, Databricks AI Gateway).
• 1+ years of leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• Ability to travel ~50% depending on client needs.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases.
• Lead sessions to shape AI solutions and drive outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise.
• Contribute within an FDE pod and mentor newer team members.
• Deliver production-quality code with strong testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
