Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager, Data Engineer - Databricks to lead data-driven consulting engagements in the Dallas area. You will design and implement large-scale Databricks-based solutions, mentor a small workstream, and guide cloud modernization projects for clients across industries.

The role requires hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and cloud platforms, plus strong communication to translate business needs into technical outcomes and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in cloud data lake/warehouse roles; Databricks preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/IT/CS.
• Experience leading cloud modernization and data migrations with Databricks.
• Hands-on SQL, Spark, data security, ETL and data integration.
• Strong communication and ability to lead client workshops.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical design and lead a small workstream for Databricks data solutions.
• Support architecture design for cloud data migrations.
• Capture and translate requirements; lead project management and client relationships.
• Translate data problems into technical approaches; build visualizations and presentations.
• Articulate Databricks value to stakeholders.
