Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience with Databricks and distributed data processing technologies.
• Strong programming skills and understanding of Data Engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure handling of data.
• Familiarity with data architecture concepts, data modeling, and data product principles.
• Experience building and supporting batch and/or real-time data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing, version control, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support data pipelines and data products.
• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes on Databricks.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity with peer reviews and testing.
• Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation and value.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and observability controls.
• Contribute to analytical, operational, reporting, and AI-enabled data solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support production environments.
• Follow engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release activities.
