Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on Databricks. You will work with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver secure, trusted data products across the Digital & Platforms Services group.

You will apply modern data engineering practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to AI-enabled data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Databricks and distributed data processing.
• Strong programming skills and data engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Familiarity with data architecture concepts and data product principles.
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing, version control, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support data pipelines and data products.
• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes on Databricks.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity, with peer review and testing.
• Apply SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and observability controls.
• Contribute to analytical, operational, and AI-enabled data solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and support production environments.
