Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Databricks Solution Architect to define and lead end-to-end data modernization architecture across AWS, Databricks, and GCP. You will connect governed data products to ML/GenAI with strong governance, security, and cost controls.

You will drive migration patterns, data modeling standards, and reporting layer design while collaborating with executives to align with business objectives. This role is fully remote within the US market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Databricks/Data AI architecture expertise for enterprise-scale.
• Experience with multi-cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, large-scale workloads.

Responsibilities

• Define target data/AI architecture across AWS/Databricks and GCP ML/GenAI services.
• Lead data migration architecture, patterns, and risk management.
• Own data modeling standards for lakehouse/data products.
• Define ingestion/transformation/CI/CD/observability patterns on cloud platforms.
• Architect reporting/semantic models and governed metrics for self-service data access.
• Design ML/GenAI lifecycle: MLOps/LLMOps, monitoring, and governance guardrails.
• Secure cross-cloud data movement across hyperscalers with cost/performance focus.
• Provide architectural oversight on initiatives like migrations to Databricks Lakebase.
• Lead architecture reviews and communicate decisions to executives.
