Job summary

Integral Federal is seeking a Database Team Lead to manage engineering and administration of database environments for PL ALTESS. Responsibilities include architecture, installation, and configuration across Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud databases, ensuring uptime and performance.

The role requires senior DB administration experience, knowledge of STIGs and SRR/POAM processes, and the ability to collaborate with customers while maintaining DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Senior database administration experience deploying and managing databases supporting customer applications.
• Thorough knowledge of STIGs processes and procedures.
• Ability to perform a Security Readiness Review (SRR) and document findings in a POAM.
• Experience in database administration and architecture.
• Five+ years’ experience with Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL and cloud database environments.
• Knowledge of database administration responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus.
• Must relate to customers professionally and hold active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, install, and configure database software and configurations across Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud environments.
• Maintain database environments to meet availability and performance goals.
• Assist in deployment scheduling and new installations; develop security standards for ALTESS and ARMY requirements.
• Develop and maintain database monitoring dashboards for proactive management.

Overview

The Database Team Lead, is responsible for all facets of engineering and administering database environments at U.S. Army Product Lead Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PL ALTESS).

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities to include architecting infrastructure, installing, and configuring database SW products and database configuration in Oracle, Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL), Post Gre SQL) POSTGRES, My Structured Query Language (MYSQL) and cloud database environments.
• Once deployed, responsible for maintaining the database environments to meet availability and performance standards.
• Assists in the scheduling of deployment activity as well as new installations databases. Responsible for developing security standards and ensuring all databases meet ALTESS and ARMY security requirements.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of database monitoring and administrative dashboards to ensure a proactive approach to database management.

Qualifications

Required:

• Senior database administration experience deploying and managing databases supporting customer applications.
• Thorough knowledge of the Cyber Command Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) processes and procedures.
• Know how to perform a Security Readiness Review (SRR) and document the SRR findings in a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) document.
• Experience in database administration and architecture.
• Five or more years’ experience with Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, POSTGRES, MYSQL and cloud database environments is required.
• Knowledge of database administration responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus.
• All positions require the ability to relate to customers in a professional manner.
• Have an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IAVM.
