Maintain database by planning, monitoring, and improving performance. Project Details: Plan database upgrades by maintaining, evaluating, and improving a transaction processing model Assess database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas Support database performance by monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; designing database management tools; answering user questions Secure database by preparing access and control policies and procedures; implementing disaster recovery procedures Support application design by contributing expertise to applications, operations, and technical support teams Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Bachelor's degree in technology field or 4+ similar years of experience Proficiency with technology in the workplace, including MS Office, databases and web-based applications Customer relationship database maintenance/integrity experience Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with diverse groups and work successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and excel in problem-solving Ability to communicate complex data in a simple way to facilitate decision-making. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high level of trust, tact, and confidentiality
