Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Database Security Automation Engineer / Database Security Developer to join our dynamic team in Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX. The role focuses on automating database security tasks, collecting entitlements, and certifying security configurations across large RDBMS and NoSQL environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell experience, plus hands-on work with Oracle or MS SQL Server and security certifications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell skills.
• Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience conducting software certifications for security controls.
• Proven process automation in database security domains.
• Working knowledge of IAM, activity monitoring, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Engineer solutions to collect database entitlements and login data across enterprise RDBMS and NoSQL platforms.
• Design and implement process automation for identity and access management, password vaulting, activity monitoring, and encryption controls.
• Develop test cases and certification workflows to validate database security products and configurations.
• Detect and remediate dormancy, revocations, and access drift in alignment with security policies.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and manage work through Jira and Horizon tools.
• Partner with stakeholders to define standards and produce documentation for engineered controls.
