Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc is seeking a senior Database Administrator with TS/SCI clearance and active polygraph for critical data platforms. The role requires deep Oracle/NoSQL expertise, Java familiarity, and a decade of DB experience in complex environments.

You will manage migration, security, and performance across multi-cloud and on-prem systems. Candidates should demonstrate independent work style and strong collaboration skills within a fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline; four years of DB experience can substitute.
• At least ten years of high-level, in-depth database experience.
• In-depth DBA experience: data migration, replication, user administration, backup/recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation/resolution.
• Solid understanding of Oracle and/or PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL.
• Knowledge of Java programming.
• Commitment to best practices and prioritizing tasks.
• Able to work independently or in a fast-moving team.
• Nice to have: SAFe/agile experience, Cassandra, MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute data migration, replication and user administration tasks.
• Perform backup and recovery, performance tuning, and issue investigations/resolutions.
• Maintain and optimize relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Apply Java-based integration and scripting as needed; adhere to best practices.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree
• Must have at least ten (10) years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience.
• Must have in-depth experience as a Database Administrator to include proficiency in tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
• Must have a solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
• Must have knowledge of programming languages to include Java.
• Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
• Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
• Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team

• Experience with MongoDB $175,000 - $230,000 a year The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
