Constellation Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Database Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support federal contracts in Maryland.

The role centers on Oracle database administration, security hardening, performance tuning, and data replication using Oracle Streams/GoldenGate. The position is open to multiple experience levels, from 6+ to 15+ years in database engineering/administration, with a US citizenship and polygraph requirement.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience.
• Level 04 requires 15+ years of experience; Level 03 12+ years; Level 02 9+ years; Level 01 6+ years.
• Minimum of High School Diploma.
• Oracle Database Administration experience including replication technologies.
• Experience implementing and maintaining database security.
• Experience tuning and monitoring database performance.
• Experience troubleshooting database problems and issues.
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL scripting.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine/ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases.
• Modify existing scripts and create new ones for recurring issues.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for operational needs.
• Patch systems and apply IAVA updates as required.
• Recommend design practices to optimize GOTS/COTS data handling.

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, IAVA, Oracle, RDBMS, PL/SQL, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Must be a US Citizen
• This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience; two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to Database Engineering / Administration:
• Level 04 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience
• Level 03 requires a minimum twelve (12) years of experience
• Level 02 requires a minimum nine (09) years of experience
• Level 01 requires a minimum six (06) years of experience
• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Experience with Oracle Database Administration experience to include experience with Oracle data replication technologies.
• Experience implementing and maintaining database security.
• Experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues.
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
• Experience with procedural languages, for example: PL/SQL.
• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and Oracle Streams replication issues.
• Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.
• Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.
• Recommend design and implementation practices that optimize the performance of GOTS/COTS databases and applications.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Grid/RAC in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Mongo.
• Experience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Experience with Cassandra.
