Job summary

Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL environments. The role requires at least ten years of database experience, strong data migration, backup/recovery, and performance tuning capabilities, plus fluent SQL and scripting skills in JavaScript, Bash, Perl, or Python.

The position is based in Maryland with multiple contract locations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree.
• Must have at least ten (10) years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience.
• Must have in-depth experience as a Database Administrator to include data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, and general administration.
• Must have a solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
• Must have experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python.
• Must have knowledge of programming languages to include Java.
• Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
• Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
• Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team
• Experience with Cassandra
• Experience with MongoDB
