Job summary

ISO New England Inc. is seeking a Database Engineer Intern to design and build a centralized database for model solutions and to develop tools for querying across study models.

You will create dashboards and visual analytics to help analysts interpret large datasets, improve data access, and support automation in planning the electricity grid. This role offers mentorship and hands-on experience with energy modeling data.

Qualifications

• Rising Senior pursuing a degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience coding in Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into meaningful insights.
• Interest in data architecture, visualization, analytics, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a centralized database for model solution files.
• Create tools that allow users to query, filter, and compare results across multiple study models.
• Build dashboards and visual analytics that make complex data easier to understand.
