Symbotic in Wilmington, MA is offering an Intern- Data Engineer position for Summer 2027. You will assist in building the core insights function, optimize SQL in Snowflake, transform data with Python, and create dashboards in Qlik Sense and Tableau.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to real-time data workflows. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in data analytics or CS with basic Python and SQL knowledge and a keen interest in data visualization and governance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in data analytics, CS, ML, or related field.
• Familiarity with SQL and Snowflake is preferred.
• Basic Python skills and data visualization knowledge.
• Understanding of GitLab for version control and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Help build and scale the core insights function for data, analytics, and reporting.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to manage data in Snowflake.
• Use Python to transform data for downstream processing.
• Create dashboards in Qlik Sense and Tableau to inform decisions.
• Collaborate on code reviews and versioning with GitLab.
• Document processes, workflows, and key insights.
• Develop data preprocessing pipelines to improve model robustness.
• Build and refine predictive models for data-driven decisions.
• Work with Data Engineering to automate data workflows for real-time insights.
