Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA in current program.
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through multiple teams to gain hands-on experience with database provisioning, performance tuning, security, and cloud operations.
• Assist DBA teams in Oracle, SQL Server, and NoSQL environments with tuning, capacity review, troubleshooting, and provisioning.
• Support database lifecycle tasks including provisioning, patching, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
• Participate in database security activities, vulnerability management, and audit support (PCI/SOX).
• Gain experience in data warehouse and cloud operations, including AWS Redshift, scripting, monitoring, and deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and automation teams on POCs, dashboards, APIs, ML, and automation with Ansible/Nebula.
