Maximus is seeking a Database Engineer to support USAF missions. The role requires deep database development, architecture, and requirements analysis across multi‑tier environments. You will craft procedures, models, and system architectures while maintaining automated deployment scripts.

Eligibility requires active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly, and a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s may substitute for 2 years). Travel 10–20% may be needed.

• 10 years of overall experience in the functional area and required Bachelor's degree; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
• 5 years' experience with Enterprise DB (DB management and development).
• 7 years' experience with PostgreSQL, and strong data modeling skills.
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly is required.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.

The Database Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area. Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 10 years of combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures.
• Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB.
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Oracle DBA Certified Professional, CISSP
