Job summary

Maximus seeks a Database Engineer to support USAF missions with expertise in database development, design, modeling, and architecture. The role emphasizes analytical work, requirements development, and multi-tiered database solutions within a demanding environment.

Active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required. The position allows remote work with occasional site travel (10–20%). Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Poly.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 10 years combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures.
• Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB.
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Job description

The Database Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
