Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Database Engineer in Foster City, CA to design and implement scalable database solutions. You will install, configure, and upgrade database software while optimizing performance and ensuring robust security.

Collaborating with developers, you will refine schemas, indexes and SQL across PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server or Redshift in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and query optimization skills.
• Experience with database design and data modeling.
• Knowledge of normalization and schema design.
• Experience with AWS and IaC for databases.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server/Redshift.

• Design and develop efficient, scalable database solutions aligned to business requirements.

What's Needed?

• Strong understanding of AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database resources.
• Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA.
• Deep knowledge of DBMSs such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Redshift.
• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
• Solid grasp of data modeling, normalization, and schema design principles.
