Job summary

Conch Technologies Inc in Foster City, CA is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design, manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments onsite.

Duration: 06 months Contract on W2

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design, manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), database administration, SQL, performance tuning, and automation experience.

Must Have Skills:

• Strong AWS and IaC experience for database resources.
• Proven experience as a Database Engineer / DBA.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and/or Redshift.
• Excellent SQL, query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring skills.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and schema design.
• Experience with backup/restore, disaster recovery, and database security.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• AWS networking fundamentals.
• Terraform Cloud and IaC workflows.
• Python or Shell scripting/automation.
• Database CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Flyway, or similar.
• Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.
