Job summary

AmeriSOURCE Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Database Developer to design and build the data layer for a high-volume filing platform in a federal program.

The role focuses on database schemas, queries, and ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS data services, with emphasis on security and compliance. The position is hybrid (Reston, VA area) with 3 days remote, and requires strong SQL and data-modeling skills, plus experience with AWS databases and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database development experience.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases on AWS.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling experience.
• Understanding of database and query performance tuning.
• Understanding of data security.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain U.S. government clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and queries.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Optimize query and database performance for high-volume workloads.
• Support data modeling using AWS data services, including Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with developers and data architects on data access patterns.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling for query and pipeline development.
