Job summary

Innovative Development, LLC in Radnor, PA is seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise SQL Server environments.

The role requires deep expertise in SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, data warehousing, and modern cloud data pipelines such as Azure Data Factory, with a focus on performance and reliability. Onsite, 5 days a week; strong benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as MS SQL Database Developer in an enterprise environment.
• Expert in T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with query optimization, execution plans, and SQL Server performance tuning.
• Extensive SSIS development, deployment, monitoring for large-scale environments.
• Strong SSRS reporting, including subscriptions and data-driven reports.
• PowerBI reporting experience with production support.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data marts.
• Experience with SQL Server migrations and cloud-based data pipelines (Azure Data Factory).
• Familiarity with CI/CD for database deployments and version control.
• Understanding security, access control, data privacy, auditing and compliance.

Responsibilities

This position is a W2 position with Innovative Development/ID Discovery and is onsite in Radnor, PA 5 days/week.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise database solutions across Microsoft SQL Server environments. This role requires deep expertise in SQL development, stored procedures, query optimization, ETL processing, enterprise reporting, and database performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with SSIS, SSRS, data warehousing, PowerBI, dimensional modeling, SQL Server migrations, and modern cloud-based data pipeline technologies such as Azure Data Factory.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience as an MS SQL Database Developer or SQL Server Developer in an enterprise environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in T‑SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexing strategies, and complex query development.
• Demonstrated experience with query optimization, execution plan analysis, database performance tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Server performance issues.
• Extensive ETL development experience using SSIS, including design, development, deployment, monitoring, and support of large‑scale SSIS environments.
• Strong SSRS reporting experience, including report design, parameterized reports, subscriptions, data‑driven reporting, and production support.
• Strong PowerBI reporting experience, including report design, parameterized reports, subscriptions, data‑driven reporting, and production support.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, data marts, fact and dimension tables, and reporting data structures.
• Experience with SQL Server migrations, data integration, data validation, and enterprise reporting solution delivery.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and modern cloud‑based data pipeline design, orchestration, and monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for database deployments and automated release management.
• Experience with source control tools, deployment pipelines, and database change management processes.
• Understanding database security, role‑based access, data privacy, auditing, and compliance considerations.
• Experience working in regulated, financial services, insurance, mortgage, or other data‑intensive enterprise environments.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and promote database development best practices across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
