Job summary

Magnaflow, Oceanside, CA, is seeking a Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance databases and data pipelines. You will optimize SQL Server and Azure SQL, build ETL/ELT processes, and support data warehousing for BI initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure data integrity, governance, and scalable analytics, leveraging Power BI/Tableau and cloud/on‑prem tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience in database development, data engineering, or related roles.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL, including query optimization and stored procedure development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance database solutions across SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Build and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using on-prem and cloud tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
• Develop and support data warehouse architectures to enable reporting and BI initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data models.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance best practices.
• Optimize performance through indexing, partitioning, and tuning; implement backup and DR strategies.
• Support data integration between ERP, WMS, and other systems; troubleshoot ETL issues.
• Assist users with analytics tools like PowerBI.

This role ensures data integrity, availability, security, and performance while supporting business intelligence, analytics, and operational applications.
