Job summary

Megazone Cloud US is seeking a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive enterprise customer running a multi-account AWS estate.

You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, prove that backups restore, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when it counts. The role sits in the Managed Services team with cross-functional engineering support.

Qualifications

• Experience managing databases in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Proficient with backups, restore testing, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with MSP teams and cross-functional engineering groups.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for the client estate.
• Validate backups restore processes and disaster recovery runbooks.
• Collaborate with OS/middleware, EKS, network/security and CCoE architecture teams.
