Job summary

Megazone Cloud US is hiring a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive enterprise customer running a multi-account AWS estate (155 accounts). You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, prove that backups actually restore, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when it counts.

The role sits in our Managed Services team as the customer engagement expands from standard MSP to Advanced MSP

Qualifications

• Own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive customer.
• Maintain health of RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases and validate backup restore capabilities.
• Participate in disaster-recovery runbooks when needed and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a multi-account AWS estate.
• Collaborate with OS/middleware, EKS, network/security and CCoE engineers on improvements.
• Coordinate with 24x7 monitoring team in Vietnam for first response and escalation.
