Job summary

Megazone Cloud US is seeking a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive customer on a multi-account AWS estate. You will ensure RDS/Aurora health, validate backup restore processes, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when needed.

You will work within our Managed Services team alongside OS/middleware, EKS, network/security, and CCoE engineers, with a 24x7 Vietnamese monitoring team handling first

Qualifications

• Own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large AWS estate.
• Demonstrate that backups restore and execute disaster-recovery runbooks as needed.
• Collaborate with MSP/CCoE architecture engineers and 24x7 monitoring teams.

About the role

Megazone Cloud US is hiring a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive enterprise customer running a multi-account AWS estate (155 accounts). You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, prove that backups actually restore, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when it counts. The role sits in our Managed Services team as the customer engagement expands from standard MSP to Advanced MSP with a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). You will work alongside OS/middleware, EKS, network/security and CCoE architecture engineers, with a 24x7 monitoring team in Vietnam handling first response and escalating to you.
