Job summary

Megazone Cloud US is seeking a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive customer on a multi-account AWS estate. You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, verify backups restore, and run disaster-recovery playbooks when needed.

You will sit in the Managed Services team as we expand from MSP to Advanced MSP with a Cloud Center of Excellence, collaborating with OS/middleware, EKS,

Qualifications

• Own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large AWS estate.
• Maintain health of RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases.
• Develop and execute disaster-recovery runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Prove that backups restore successfully and can be used for DR.
• Collaborate with MSP/CCoE teams for expanded managed services.
• Coordinate with 24x7 monitoring teams for incident response and escalation.

About The Role

Megazone Cloud US is hiring a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive enterprise customer running a multi-account AWS estate (155 accounts). You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, prove that backups actually restore, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when it counts.

Megazone Cloud US is hiring a Database & Backup Operations Engineer to own day-to-day database operations and backup/recovery for a large North American automotive enterprise customer running a multi-account AWS estate (155 accounts). You will keep RDS, Aurora and self-managed databases healthy, prove that backups actually restore, and execute disaster-recovery runbooks when it counts. The role sits in our Managed Services team as the customer engagement expands from standard MSP to Advanced MSP with a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). You will work alongside OS/middleware, EKS, network/security and CCoE architecture engineers, with a 24x7 monitoring team in Vietnam handling first response and escalating to you.

Compensation Range: $120K - $130K
