Job summary

KATMAI is seeking an experienced Database Specialist to provide technical support for maintenance information and inventory management system databases. You will oversee database development, assess new technologies, and guide long-term database strategy to align with business opportunities.

You will assist Operations to reach current and future objectives. The role requires 2–5 years in IT operations with MySQL Server, strong knowledge of relational databases, T-SQL, and experience in data

Qualifications

• BE/BS degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree
• 2-3 years IT operation experience with database know-how
• 3-5 years MySQL Server experience
• Experience with data management and data processing flowcharts
• Proficiency in T-SQL in a heavily documented environment
• Ability to pass drug test and background check
• Security clearance may be required (US citizenship)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Develop security schemes for database environments and assist in disaster recovery
• Assess database performance and identify areas for improvement
• Lead development and enhancement of production applications with teams
• Develop tools/methodologies for database management
• Guide logical database development across the development lifecycle
• Maintain reporting and storage functions within the database
• Collaborate with vendors on database updates
• Maintain punctual attendance and perform other duties
