Job summary

Katmai is seeking a field installation technician to set up and service equipment at customer sites. You will install computers, networks, alarms, and related devices, following detailed instructions and safety guidelines.

The role requires at least two years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Travel will exceed 75% and a valid driver's license is needed to support training and site visits.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated ability to fit and install technological and building-related devices in various settings.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship may be required).
• Must obtain and maintain security access and/or background checks.

Responsibilities

• Positions and affixes equipment in designated locations per specifications and client requests.
• Completes the set-up process for equipment.
• Studies instructions and scopes installation areas before starting.
• Applies knowledge of the product and assists in building structures for job sites.
• Loads/unloads materials and performs physical labor as needed.
• Assembles service equipment and performs maintenance on assembled gear.
• Installs workstation products at customer locations and provides troubleshooting.
• Performs refitting and testing of devices and reviews functionality.
• Gives maintenance advice and follows safety stipulations.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
