State of Colorado is seeking a Database Administrator II to manage enterprise databases across on‑prem and multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will drive automation, high availability, and CI/CD for database deployments.

The role requires hands-on DBA experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, plus IaC tooling like Terraform and Ansible. Collaboration in an Agile setting and on‑call rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Three years of dedicated professional experience in Database Administration.
• Hands-on with Microsoft SQL Server, and working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• IaC experience using Terraform and Ansible.
• Migration of on-prem databases to cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Scripting proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Unix shell.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine DBA tasks.
• Work in Agile environment using Azure DevOps Boards for source control.
• Manage multi-cloud administration across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Provision, configure, and monitor SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Tune performance and implement backup, recovery and DR plans.
