Description
JOB SUMMARY
The DBA/ETL Developer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, creating and supporting MSLC databases and ETL processes as assigned by the Lead DBA/ETL Developer. The DBA/ETL Developer will maintain software, scripts and reports that access MSLC databases and will contribute ETL expertise with integration, transformation, and loading of data. The DBA/ETL Developer will assist the data analytics team with troubleshooting SQL queries. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data flow and accurate analytics for our organization.
Note: If your experience is stronger in one area versus the other, training will be available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of data from various sources into our data warehouse.
· Optimize and fine-tune ETL workflows for performance and scalability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
· Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing processes.
· Stay current with industry trends and best practices in ETL development and data integration.
· Knowledge of IT best practices for maintaining patch management, documentation, and archiving protocols.
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
NOTE: Per the bargaining unit contract, the salary for this position will increase by 2% effective July 13, 2025.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
· Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with demonstrated ability to navigate in each and to write simple scripts and reports.
· Ability to use standard Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint).
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
