Database Architect - Remote (US-based)

Our client, a healthcare software provider, is looking for a Database Architect to design and maintain scalable MS SQL Server environments for high-performance applications. The business is transforming their platform and revamping their architecture:

• Strong experience designing and implementing database schemas in Microsoft SQL Server 2019
• Hands-on experience administering SQL Server environments, including configuration, patching, upgrades, and tuning
• Familiarity with Hibernate ORM and data access optimisation techniques
• Knowledge of database security best practices, including access controls and encryption
• Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies
• Understanding of compliance frameworks, including HIPAA

What will you be doing?

You’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL Server databases, optimise performance, support development teams, and ensure data integrity and availability. You’ll also be responsible for security policies, documentation, and capacity planning to support long-term scalability and reliability.

The compensation for this role is USD $80-$100 per hour on a W2 contract, with remote working from anywhere in the USA.
