Phyton Talent Advisors seeks an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to support a major Securities-Backed Lending platform implementation. The DBA will design, administer, monitor, secure, and optimize SQL Server databases across on‑premises and Azure environments.

You will install, configure, monitor, tune, and backup databases, implement Always On and high‑availability, develop SSIS packages, and collaborate with developers, BI, analytics, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including SQL Server 2012 or newer.
5+ years supporting production database environments.
Strong experience with SQL Server high availability, including Always On, clustering, mirroring, and/or replication.
Strong SQL and T-SQL programming experience.
Experience with Azure cloud database design and implementation.
Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, table design, and index design.
Hands-on experience creating, configuring, and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and database automation.
Experience with database backup, recovery, restores, and automated data refreshes.
Experience with database monitoring and performance management solutions.
Knowledge of infrastructure and hardware concepts including servers, networks, SAN, RAID, and I/O subsystems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across Windows-based on-premises and cloud environments.
Monitor production databases to ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance.
Perform SQL Server performance tuning and query optimization and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
Implement and support high-availability technologies including Always On, clustering, mirroring, and replication.
Develop, manage, and test database backup, recovery, restore, and data refresh processes.
Manage database objects including schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and integrity constraints.
Review database schemas, stored procedures, DDL changes, and database designs.
Create, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot SSIS packages.
Develop and maintain SQL/T-SQL stored procedures and scripts.
Support database security, access controls, and data integrity.
Partner with application developers, business intelligence, analytics, and infrastructure teams.
Recommend and implement database configuration and architecture improvements.
Develop and maintain database standards, procedures, configuration guidelines, and best practices.
Support automation and database administration activities using PowerShell and related scripting tools.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to support a major Securities-Backed Lending (SBL) platform implementation. The project will implement Supernova’s SBL system, integrate with lending, brokerage, and trust platforms, automate underwriting and decisioning processes, and replace the existing FastNet/Broadridge collateral monitoring system. The DBA will be responsible for the design, administration, monitoring, security, availability, and performance of enterprise SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
