Job summary

A cloud technology company is seeking to hire for a role focused on supporting database migration efforts, including SQL Server environments assessment, backup and restore procedures, and collaboration with senior DBAs. Responsibilities include performing health checks, documenting processes, and ensuring high availability and security compliance throughout migration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assessment and documentation of existing SQL Server environments.
• Support database migration efforts including backup/restore, scripting, data transfers, and validation.
• Perform routine health checks and troubleshooting during and after migrations.
• Collaborate with senior DBAs, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Execute test migrations and contribute to performance tuning and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and minimal application impact throughout the process.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance throughout the migration process.
• Maintain documentation and support incident resolution post-migration.
