Job summary

Biogensys in Tallahassee, FL is hiring a Data Warehouse Developer for a 6 to 9 months onsite contract. You will develop enterprise-grade BI reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI, with a focus on performance and scalable design.

The role requires 5+ years IT BI experience, advanced SQL, Star schema mastery, Snowflake tuning and RBAC, and strong DAX for semantic modeling. You will collaborate across teams, embed reports, and support metadata and data governance efforts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building enterprise BI reports, dashboards, and data models in Power BI.
• At least 5 years IT experience in BI tools and systems.
• Advanced SQL with CTEs, window functions, and optimization.
• Strong star schema design and fact/dimension modeling knowledge.
• Experience tuning Snowflake, including clustering keys and compute optimization.
• Familiarity with Snowflake RBAC, warehouse sizing, and data governance.
• Power BI semantic models with strong DAX and clean dimensional design.
• Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake and different connection modes.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise BI reports, dashboards, and data models in Power BI.
• Optimize queries and models for performance and scalability.
• Implement star schema and fact/dimension modeling standards.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate Power BI with Snowflake.
• Maintain metadata, data lineage, and documentation.
