Job summary

SANROSE Information Services Inc. in Tallahassee is seeking an Senior BI Engineer to lead enterprise reporting initiatives. You will design and optimize Power BI semantic models, build advanced reports, and tune Snowflake data pipelines for performance and scale.

Candidates should have 10+ years in BI, strong SQL and DAX skills, dimensional modeling, and proficiency with Power BI Report Builder and data governance concepts.

This is 100% onsite work position based in Tallahassee,FL.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Work experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the degree.

Certifications : in the field

Required Experience

• 10+ years of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience developing enterprise‑level analytical reports, dashboards, and data models using Microsoft Power BI, including advanced report design, paginated reports, performance tuning, and DAX.
• Advanced experience in SQL query writing includes CTEs, window functions, and analytical queries with optimization.
• Strong experience with star schema design and fact/dimension modeling.
• Experience in Snowflake tuning, clustering keys, compute optimization, and cost control.
• Experience with Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance.
• Experience in building Power BI semantic models with strong DAX and clean dimensional design.
• Experience in integrating Power BI with Snowflake and connection modes.
• Proficiency in Power BI Report Builder, workspace management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and documentation.
• Experience embedding Power BI reports into web or internal applications.
• Experience with CI/CD for Power BI and version control

• Experience with dimensional modeling and star schema design for semantic model development
• Experience with advanced Power BI capabilities including DAX, data modeling, and Power Query.
